WHAT ARE COOKIES AND WHY DO WE USE THEM?

A cookie is a file that is downloaded to the user’s device when accessing certain web pages to store and retrieve information about the navigation that is made from that computer.

Cookies allow the website, among other things, to store and retrieve information about the user’s decisions and habits. We use them to personalize the experience on our sites, identify and remember the registered user and facilitate navigation. In no case do they provide personal data. The anonymity of users is guaranteed.

WHAT COOKIES DOES THE SITE USE?

Our websites use session and persistent cookies. The former expire when the user closes the browser while the latter expire when the purpose for which they were designed is fulfilled or when the user deletes them proactively. Based on purposes, we classify cookies into:

• Performance cookies, used to remember choices and, in general, improve the usability of our sites.
• IP localization cookies, which allow us to offer advertising and other content targeted to each country of origin.
• Web analytics cookies, for statistical purposes and that measure variables such as time on page, number of visits or page views.
• Third-party cookies, such as Twitter, Facebook or Google. These cookies have been accepted by users at the time of registration for each service and can also be deleted manually.
• Geolocation Cookies, these Cookies are used to find out in which country you are when you request a web or service. This Cookie is completely anonymous, and is only used to help target content to your location.

• Registration Cookies, registration Cookies are generated once the user has registered or subsequently has opened his session, and are used to identify you on the web and services with the following objectives:

  • To keep the User identified so that, if he/she closes a service or web, browser or computer and at another time or another day re-enters that service or web, he/she will continue to be identified, thus facilitating his/her browsing without having to identify him/herself again. This functionality can be deleted if the user presses the “Exit” functionality, so that this Cookie is deleted and the next time the user enters the web the user will have to log in to be identified.

  • Check if the user is authorized to access certain services, for example, to participate in a contest.

  • Additionally, some services may use third-party connectors such as Facebook, Twitter or Google. When the user registers for a service with credentials from a social network or third-party identification system, the user authorizes the service to store a persistent cookie that remembers the user’s identity and grants access to the site until it expires. The user can delete this cookie and revoke access to the site through social networks or third party identification system by updating your preferences in the social network that specific.

To manage advertising we use advertising service tools called Adservers, which can store user cookies to manage advertising. We currently use Google’s Doubleclick platform to manage these services. HOW TO DISABLE COOKIES IN YOUR BROWSER

Most browsers currently allow the user to configure whether to accept cookies and to specifically choose which ones to delete. These options can be found in the settings menus of each browser.
